I looked at the top of this and without thinking went 'whoa it's that late in April already?'

I still can't quite get my head around the inclusive counting either, so thanks for the link.
It's odd isn't it. Zero hadn't been invented either!
That's messed up our year numbering till today!
I wonder if inclusive counting was only for dates? Can't imagine someone counting how many of a common household object they had starting with 2.
Perhaps it only applies to differences? Not sure
What with the calendar being priest's business, I suspect the common folk counted the way we do.
